Kidney Stone Reversal

Goals:

Most kidney stones are caused by excessive binding of calcium and oxalate in the tubules of the kidney (nephrons). Calcium and oxalate bind to form stones (nephrolithiasis) which can cause pain and even obstruct the exit of urine out of the kidney.

Diagnostic Testing:I

Imaging (typically covered by insurance)

Therapies include medical & naturopathic therapies to:

Increase urine volume
Decrease urine calcium levels
Decrease binding of calcium and oxalate in the nephron
Block the binding of calcium and oxalate in the nephron
Decrease smooth muscle contraction of the urologic tubules
